Isn’t It a Pity

Why did I record this one??

I tend to gravitate toward songs that either ask or attempt to answer some sort of profound question about humanity in general. Sometimes the complexity of the message lies in the simplicity of the lyrics themselves. “Isn’t It A Pity” is an amazing song because George Harrison wrote it in a very nonjudgmental manner. To me, that makes the song perhaps even more relevant and thought provoking today, in an age when finger pointing seems almost required of each of us, than when it was first recorded by Harrison in 1970.
